• Ready golf whenever possible and/or be ready when it’s your turn
  • Plan your shot before you get to your ball, make club selection, have your glove on
  • Keep pre-shot routine short, one practice swing, then trust yourself and aim to play in 20 seconds
  • USGA rules permit players to exchange yardage information without penalty
  • Help others in your group: follow the flight of the balls, fill in a divot, rake a bunker, tend the flagstick
  • Be efficient on the putting green: mark your ball, lift and clean when you arrive, line up putt while others are putting. Repair ball marks. Leave clubs on the side of the green closest to the next tee, leave the green promptly after holing out. Record your score on the next tee.
  • Keep up with the group in front; if there’s a gap, let group behind play through
  • In non-major tournaments, please pick up after double par and enter double par plus one on your scorecard
